A Barrington Expansion for Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty

August 4, 2015 – Chicago, IL – Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty today announced that it has reached an agreement with Hunter’s Fairway Sotheby’s International Realty to acquire its two Barrington, IL offices. Founded in 2007, Hunter’s Fairway Sotheby’s International Realty has an established presence in the luxury real estate market in Barrington, IL and surrounding areas. With similar goals in meeting the Chicagoland area’s luxury real estate needs, this joining of two Sotheby’s International Realty affiliates has been a natural next step forward.
“I have strong ties to the Barrington community that reach back to when I went to high school there,” said Chris Feurer, CEO of Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty.  “No one company is dominating the luxury market currently, and the acquisition of Barrington puts us one step closer to our goal of dominating the luxury market.”

The new Barrington offices are located at 101 South Wynstone Park Drive, North Barrington, IL 60010 and 100 East Station Street, Suite 135, Barrington, IL 60010. The combined capabilities will immediately expand both the near – and long-term growth opportunities and the development pipeline in the coming years. The global reach of Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty allows this expansion to be a smooth transition for clients, brokers, and agents alike.

“Together we have shared a common vision under the Sotheby’s International Realty umbrella,” said Connie Antoniou, the owner of Hunter’s Fairway Sotheby’s International Realty. “Merging our brokerages will allow us to provide the support and services of a large brokerage, while maintaining a local boutique feel our clients have grown to love. I look forward to continuing the Sotheby’s International Realty momentum as a leader in luxury real estate.”

Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty has been trusted by clients throughout Chicagoland for over 30 years to expertly locate, manage and negotiate luxury real estate transactions for single family homes, condominiums and more. Notable developments include No. 9 Walton and MID Chicago Development. The Barrington offices will join the established Lincoln Park, Evanston, and Winnetka offices. Plans are underway to open an office in the refined Gold Coast neighborhood in late 2015.

This Barrington expansion comes right after the 7th anniversary of Feurer’s and President Mike Sato forming the company on August 1st, 2008.

“As we work toward growing our business, the opportunity to expand within the Sotheby’s International Realty network, makes Hunter’s Fairway Sotheby’s International Realty a most welcome addition to our company,” says Sato. “Clients will benefit from our streamlined structure as we continue to provide unrivaled service and access to luxury real estate investment opportunities.”

Sotheby’s International Realty Brand Launches Newly Redesigned Website

Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, a luxury real estate firm based in Chicago, IL, today announced the launch of the Sotheby’s International Realty® brand’s newly redesigned website, sir.com, which was built to showcase the network’s listings in an immersive and visual way that is unique to the industry.

new sir.com

“The new sir.com was created to tell the story of a home in a more editorial way, not the commoditized approach that can often be found in our industry,” said Wendy Purvey, chief marketing officer, Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC. “We believe the art of marketing a home is based on showcasing its soul, so every aspect of the new site works toward this goal.”

The design changes include an increased focus on full-screen, high-definition video throughout the site, from the homepage to property detail pages, to allow for a more immersive consumer experience. High-resolution photography also plays a more prominent role. The property detail pages feature: slideshows that tell a home’s story via the captions, custom video, location overviews that provide insight into the local area via video and text, and a seller or expert quote that offers a personal view of the property.

Consumers still can search for a home based on lifestyle and amenity but now have the ability to sort their results by various home features including pools, kitchens and views, and compare visual images of that feature among their search results.

extraordinary angles search by room function

“At the foundation of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand is our focus on lifestyle,” said John Passerini, vice president of interactive marketing for the brand. “Our lifestyle search is more visual, and our focus on video and photography allows our affiliates to showcase the various lifestyles a home offers that cannot be properly articulated in words only. Our fully responsive site works on any mobile device and allows our network members to do what we believe they do best: uniquely showcase extraordinary homes around the world anytime, anywhere and in any language.”

“We are proud to be part of the Sotheby’s International Realty network and believe consumers worldwide will benefit from the groundbreaking features of the new brand website,” said Chris Feurer, CEO of Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty. “The homes we represent in Chicago and the North Shore are unique, and the new sir.com allows us to showcase the heart of what makes them so special.”

Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, which has offices in Chicago, Evanston, Winnetka, and soon to be in the Gold Coast, offers exclusive Sotheby’s International Realty marketing, advertising and referral services designed to attract well-qualified buyers to the firm’s property listings. In addition, the firm and its clients benefit from an association with the Sotheby’s auction house, which promotes real estate referral opportunities with auction house clientele.
