Leslie Raugstad-Brown

Leslie Raugstad-Brown was born near the North Shore of Chicago in Glenview to a builder/real estate broker father and stay at home mom. She had 6 siblings (4th out of 7/,perfectly balanced middle child) and consequently learned to negotiate very, very early in life. Leslie never lived in a home her father didn't build until college. She spent 2 years at SIU in Carbondale majoring in Music before getting her Bachelor’s degree at San Francisco State University in Radio and Television Communications (in 19....a long time ago). Spent 20 years in advertising/marketing producing radio and television commercials and had a strength in special effects. (Going where no one has gone before.). Clients such as United States Post Office, Sea World, Ohio Art, Budweiser, Wrigley gum and more. Produced a Corona Christmas commercial that is still on the air after 25 years. Always having a love of houses on the North Shore and wanting a career closer to home to be there for her young son, she got her real estate license in 1996. It seems to run in the family. Not only did her father build residential and commercial real estate and was a broker, but her mother got her license when she went back to work, her sister had a career in real estate as does her nephew and her brother thinks he's a renowned builder in the North Shore. Handling millions of dollars for her advertising clients combined with her extensive knowledge of the North Shore market made her uniquely qualified for the negotiating, the details and the sensitivity of real estate transactions. After 22 years of a solo career she's thrilled to be joining The Home Discovery Team. As a resident of Glenview for a lifetime and raising her family here, she has a unusually extensive historical view that few have.
