Gwen Farinella

Gwen Farinella doesn’t just live in Chicago. She lives Chicago. A Windy City native and lifelong resident, Gwen raised her children in Lincoln Park in the 70s and 80s, and then moved to the heart of Streeterville in 2004. She has a long-standing love affair with real estate—she and her husband began investing in property nearly 40 years ago—and Gwen knows the city better than just about anyone.


More than 20 years ago, Gwen made the shift from a career in women’s apparel to real estate, utilizing her business management and organizational skills to build what has become a successful and rewarding career in real estate. She thrives when using her extensive market and Chicago-area knowledge to counsel clients, but what truly drives her is helping people find homes they love.

Though she grew her career by being at the forefront of real estate development in Chicago, Gwen’s passion is helping clients purchase and sell residential real estate, from educating first-time buyers to assisting baby boomers with downsizing, and supporting everyone in between. Gwen adeptly balances the emotional aspects of home buying and selling with the pragmatic requirements, guiding her clients from the first showing to the closing table.

During her 20 years in luxury development with Related Midwest, Gwen has gained invaluable knowledge about what adds and detracts from home value, making her an expert at all aspects of real estate. While still involved in development—her latest project is One Bennett Park, Chicago’s most prestigious address, designed by world renowned Robert A.M. Stern—Gwen seamlessly incorporates her expertise into all aspects of her brokerage business. She is proud to have earned The Chicago Association of REALTORS® Top Producer award in 2010 through 2015 and again in 2018.
