How do you define home? For Heidi Swank, it’s defined by community, design, feel, tradition, culture. Having traversed the globe throughout her personal life and professional career, Heidi is enlivened by the opportunity to see how others live, and to experience what they call home. Not only did her travels give her invaluable perspective and insight into human connection, but they also offered a fresh and ever-changing definition of home.
Heidi was born in Venezuela and spent her childhood living between South America and Europe, where she fell in love with all variations of art, culture and truly learned about sense of place. She moved to Florida in 1996 where she attended college and then worked overseas for her family’s company. In 2007, she relocated to Chicago, which has been home ever since. With a prior career in corporate project management, Heidi now offers her real estate clients the best of all worlds; she operates like a highly-organized, integrity-first, problem solving manager while at the same time utilizing her innate interpersonal skills to create and build lasting client relationships.
As a member of the Jacqueline Elmorsy Residential Partners at Jameson Sotheby’s, Heidi is exceptionally supported by a team of high-achieving real estate specialists. She works with both buyers and sellers and specializes in Chicago’s north-central neighborhoods (including: Roscoe Village, Lincoln Square, North Center, and Lakeview). Her acute attention to detail and dedication to process ensures that her clients have a seamless and worry-free experience.
When she’s not assisting clients, you can find Heidi creating pottery, reading, dancing (she was even a semi-professional belly dancer for three years), Feng Shui-ing her home in Roscoe Village or perusing Chicago’s local art scene. She also loves pugs, speaks Spanish and Portugese and has a passion for architecture and design, which perfectly complements her passion for helping others define “home.”
